Inwave’s participation in EuroShop 2026 marked an important milestone in our history! The event is recognized as the world’s largest retail technology trade show, bringing together thousands of companies and industry experts. For us, this year had a special meaning: it was our first major international presentation following the acquisition of Gateway, a Swedish company that is a global reference in Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) systems.

Founded in 1994, Gateway operates in more than 120 countries, with equipment installed in over 40,000 stores. The union between Inwave and Gateway strengthens our international expansion strategy and broadens the reach of our technologies focused on operational intelligence for retail.

In recent years, Inwave has undergone a significant transformation: we have evolved from being solely a hardware manufacturer into a retail tech company focused on data, operational intelligence, and AIoT.

EuroShop was the ideal stage to present this new phase to the international market, now with an even stronger presence in Europe and an expanded portfolio of solutions.

Below are some of the highlights we showcased at our booth.

Strong presence with EAS, connectivity, and integrated intelligence

One of the main highlights of our participation was the evolution of anti-theft antennas, now strengthened through our partnership with Gateway.

More than just security devices, these solutions are now part of a connected ecosystem, integrating hardware, software, and real-time data. The antennas can connect to different in-store systems, enabling features such as facial recognition and integration with RFID technology.

This approach transforms traditional EAS solutions into data capture points for operational intelligence, expanding the role of loss prevention technology within retail strategy.

RFID: visibility and inventory accuracy

Another highlight at our booth was our integrated approach to RFID in retail, covering the entire operational flow—from distribution center to store.

The solution significantly improves inventory visibility and accuracy, while integrating processes such as tagging, inventory management, checkout operations, and anti-theft systems. All of this is connected to other technologies to ensure greater control and operational efficiency.

Inwave Darwin at checkout: more control and fewer losses

Checkout remains one of the most sensitive points in store operations, both for customer experience and loss prevention.

The Darwin platform enables real-time monitoring of checkout processes, providing greater visibility and control over what happens at each POS terminal.

Examples demonstrated at the booth include intelligent alerts for situations such as items left in the cart or products not scanned properly. These alerts allow faster remote validations, support store teams, and help reduce losses without creating friction in the customer experience.

New Darwin feature: AI alert with suspicious movement detection

One of the innovations we presented at the event was a new artificial intelligence alert within the Darwin platform.

Using computer vision, the solution can identify suspicious movements in store areas, for example, when a product is concealed.

When such situations occur, the system automatically generates an alert for the store team, enabling immediate and preventive action before a loss happens.

This new functionality expands the role of the Darwin platform as a real-time operational intelligence system, capable of supporting teams in daily store operations and reducing losses more efficiently.

A new phase for Inwave and for retail

EuroShop reinforced something we strongly believe: retail challenges are becoming increasingly complex and require integrated solutions that connect hardware, software, and data.

The union between Inwave and Gateway represents exactly this movement. On one side, the tradition and global reach in anti-theft systems; on the other, a data-driven operational intelligence platform powered by artificial intelligence.

Together, these technologies are opening new possibilities to help retailers operate more efficiently, reduce losses, and make better decisions.

We are just at the beginning of this new phase, and very excited about what lies ahead.
