As the largest supermarket trade show in the world, APAS SHOW 2025 wrapped up with a clear message for the retail industry: technology, innovation, and strategy are key allies in overcoming the sector’s challenges.
From May 12 to 15, Expo Center Norte hosted another historic edition of the festival, drawing over 151,000 visitors and generating an impressive R$16.5 billion in business. And of course, Inwave was there with a booth full of innovation, technology, and meaningful connections.
A booth that embodies strategy and results

Throughout the four days of the event, Inwave’s booth served as a hub for valuable connections with clients, partners, industry representatives, and retail professionals. More than just showcasing solutions, the space was designed to share experiences, spark conversations about industry challenges, and demonstrate — in practice — what technology can do for retail operations.
The outcome was so positive that we ranked among the top three medium-sized booths at APAS SHOW 2025, taking 2nd place in the Best Visual Merchandising award category. This recognition fills us with pride, especially since the booth project was carefully designed to reinforce our theme: "Design Strategies and Control Results."
The illustrations displayed throughout the booth represented every area of a retail store — from checkout to receiving — showing how the Inwave Darwin Platform can operate in each of them in an integrated and strategic way. All of this was combined with an immersive and functional visual experience, allowing visitors to see firsthand how technology is transforming retail operations.
A more complete Inwave Darwin Platform
Visitors had the opportunity to explore Darwin’s already well-known applications:
- Traditional checkout and self-checkout lanes
- Weighing auditing for meat counters
- Anti-theft system auditing
- Operations control
And this year, we introduced new features that extend the platform’s reach even further inside the store:
- Real-time auditing of merchandise receiving
- New features for detecting unscanned items in shopping carts
All with a focus on operational efficiency, loss prevention, and data-driven operations control.
More control over merchandise receiving
The biggest highlight for 2025 was the expansion of the platform into a critical area: merchandise receiving. The Darwin Platform now offers real-time receiving audits, with alerts based on data collected from handheld scanners and geolocation information.
This allows retailers to immediately identify any discrepancies during delivery, loading dock errors, and inspection failures — even for perishables and PAR products.
Visitors to our booth saw firsthand how this additional Darwin layer complements the management ecosystem and further boosts control and operational efficiency.
A festival that transforms the present and shapes the future of retail
APAS SHOW 2025 reaffirmed its status as the largest supermarket event in the world. Under the theme “A New Leader for a New Retail,” the event brought together major industry players and promoted essential discussions on innovation, digital transformation, leadership, and sustainability.
With over 250 international exhibitors, the show also reinforced the globalization of Brazilian retail, drawing the attention of brands, governments, and investors from around the world.
As Carlos Correa, APAS General Director, perfectly put it:
“APAS SHOW is not just a trade show — it reflects the transformation of our industry and our society. It is truly a festival.”
See You Soon, APAS SHOW! And Thank You to Everyone Who Stopped By!
We left APAS SHOW 2025 with the certainty that we are on the right path: developing technological solutions connected to the real pain points of retail — in a practical, adaptable way with concrete results.
We return with renewed ideas, new connections, and even more energy to support our partners on this journey.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booth and became part of this story.
Here’s to APAS SHOW 2026!
